    1. Hi, it is a company that sells many things, usually advertised on tele on the morning shows. I bought the Shark Vacuum cleaner and they threw in the steam mop free, I wasn't happy with something, I rang, they sent me a new, better version free post etc. My trade name is TV SHOP. Hope this helps.

  5. Hi there

    Yes same thing has happened to me.. 2 different amounts appeared on my statement! Going to the bank tomorrow and will be confronting these scam artists also!!

  6. It will be purchases you have made from the home shopping channel or those infomercials. You've possibly bought something on a 30 day free trial & then haven't returned it, so they start charging you for the remainder of the payments. Port Melbourne is just where the main company is.

  9. If you really want something from one of these places you cannot give your card details. Instead buy (say from the Post Office shop) a "credit card" that you put the money onto and quote that number as its the same as a credit card number and that way you are in control! Yes I have been burnt too. I do not use Direct Debit by any company either as it puts someone else in charge of my money and it's been a problem before!

  10. Can someone please help? I recently ordered (quite hastily) a shark steam mop through this company, I rang them Monday morning and said please dont start the direct debit until the Wednesday as i dont get paid until then, that was fine until i realised that i had over due bills that i had forgotten about, so I rang them back on Tuesday morning to cancel the order, which shouldnt have been a problem as it hadnt been processed yet. After being on hold for a long time and verifying my phone number numerous times, the young lady finally assured me that my order had been cancelled.
    My problem now is that they HAVE taken the deposit amount from my bank account and the darn thing is in the shipping process! I ranf them forst thing this morning and got told there is nothing they can do about it, the manager didnt want to talk to me ( he refused to listen to the call which would have been recorded when i rang to cancel) and the lady told me that i had to pay for the item to be sent back!! So now not only do i have to wait at least a month for my money back I have to PAY for the darn thing to be sent back also!
    I am not happy but I really need to find an email address or another phone number to speak to someone in authority, can you please help?

  11. I want to thank TrishVB for putting up the number to call the sales people. I bought an aeropilates and found parts missing but when I tried to call the customer service number plastered across the 'owners manual' it wasn't even connected. So I've done a google search and found Trishvb's letter above and called on that number and have had some success.
    I won't say I was surprised to find difficulties with contact after sales, it kind of goes with the territory and I usually don't buy things from the TV but had a sleepless night and well....you know lol. I guess I felt like living dangerously lol.
    So anyway, thanks Trishvb and to anyone else, make a note of that number and let's make a late New Year's resolution NOT to buy anything off the tele in the wee hours of the morning again!

  12. Just be aware that if you purchase something this way you will find it incredibly difficult to return it if it's not suitable or getting help if something is missing or broken. Mostly the telephone numbers are hidden or not included. Even the customer service number is discontinued.

  20. There was a big wave about this skin care products in England called Nur76 & around the whole world about its benefit as a skin lightener and how it rejuvenate & renew your skin & so on. Well I have tried it myself for 15weeks now and nothing happened, my skin especially my face was & is still the same with the Acne scars & pimples which was the number one result promised by Alim Muhamed(the developer). Please I am begging you not waste your hard earned money like me on these futile products which claims the perfect skin. I spent $380 on just face cream(serum, cream & SPF) and body lotion and I regret wasting such amount of money on such a scam. Please save your money and find home remedy - they are cheaper and safer for you. I hope you learn from my mistake.

  23. Hi Guy
    I just ordered the same NON STICK for $250.00. Under Australian Consumer Law the company has to back up their promise, otherwise it is false advertising. It has been a week and I have still not received the products, I was told twice now that the products ship from Port Melbourne and so now have been told they are being shipped tomorrow. I will wait until they arrive and if they don't work will certainly make a claim for bait advertising, and false advertising under the applicable Act.

    If yours does not work, make a claim through the company first before going to ACL.

  24. Update:
    1. Order placed for the set of pots that don't scratch on 5 Nov, told that products would be dispatched in few days;
    2. Credit card debit 6 Nov;
    3. Call TV Shop 1800 222 684 on 8 Nov as I had not received an invoice [still not received], the response was that products would be sent in 7 to 14 days from Port Melbourne Warehouse;
    4. A week later had still not received products and then I thought: If the product is coming from Port Melbourne and I live in Melbourne then it should not take so damn long; and so
    5. I called on 13 November 2013 and was told that the product was out of stock and that I should not receive in 5 to 7 business days;
    6. I then asked: who is the courier and they said Aust Post and told me to contact them if it does not arrive in 7 business days.
    7. My final comment was that I will not chase Australia Post and at end of 7 days I will cancel my order and expect a full refund immediately.
    Lets see how it turns out.

  27. Hi it looks like I'm not the only one to have trouble with the TV shop. I got a quote for one price with payments at a set price when I realised they were charging more than agreed I rang them. They assured me they would fix and credit any over payments back. Every month for 7 months I have had ring them. I was told the payments finished October and just received a call saying my payment was due and had been declined. I got them to send a statement that didn't make any sense and said I was to pay a lot more than I agreed on. I have gone through all my statements from my credit card and what they say I have paid and what I have is very different. Nothing on their statement adds up. I would never ever buy anything from them again.

I have a shark navigator thats is over a year old, yesterday the vacuum decided to start spitting flames out the front of it and had taken out all the circuit breakers in the house out , today I got hild of them and explained the situation and now have a new updated version being sent out, the best way to get results is 1. Know your consumer rights 2. Speak to them politly. It is as simple as that trust me , do your research on the product prior for any similar problems and use that against them . Fortunetly for myself I am trained in the australia consumer laws and know where we stand as consumer once everyone has a basic knowledge of that and the odd threaten of vcat via emails tp keep records you will WIN. I am happy to provide a anyone with a Answer/direction if required. Cheers

  31. "URGENT ATTENTION REQUIRED!: REQUEST FOR A FULL-REFUND TO BE ISSUED TO ME FOR MY RETURNED-BACK ORDER#: 544XXXX"‏

    Hi!...

    My full name is Mrs. Stephanie XXXXse XXXXrro & I am now formally requesting my full-refund of $178.00 for order# 544XXXX, to be issued back immediately onto my MasterCard ASAP!!!...

    After watching your Hot Shapers TV infomercials, I originally called the TV Shop on: 1800 399 399 on Thursday the 2nd. of January, to place an order for 2 sets of Hot Shapers(exercise sweat pants set) for a total cost of $178.00, which I ordered both in size 18-20 since they only came in sizes 14-16 or 18-20 but not in my actual size of 16-18, & since I was in between sizes, I was advised to maybe go up a size, which is why my order was placed for size 18-20, however, after placing the order & pondering about whether I'd ordered the best size?, I went onto the original manufacturers website: www.hotshapers.com & discovered that these hot pants are made in US sizes & after goggling a US to AU ladies clothing size conversion Chart, I realized that the US size 14-16 is equivalent to an AU 16-18(which is exactly the size I needed & is now currently sold out), however, the US size 18-20 is equivalent to an AU 20-22(which is at least 2-4 sizes too big for me & a huge problem seeing that the advertised hot shaper pants should actually be worn as close-fitted to your skin as possible in order for the pants to re-shape your figure & actually achieve their intended purpose, in making you sweat), however, the TV Shop telephone operator that I originally placed the order with & who charged my MasterCard $178.00 for the order, did not tell me at any point during our conversation, that this product was actually manufactured in US sizes & that I'd need to covert my AU size into a US size, in order to purchase the correct size to fit me & encouraged me to order the 18-20, which I was not aware was actually a US 18-20(AU 20-22) & when I realized that the size ordered was way too big for me, I called back the TV Shop customer service, to put a "hold" or "stop" on the order being shipped out to me due to the size problem! & despite initially being told my order would be put on "hold" & would not be shipped(after numerous phone calls I had made before the order had been shipped), it was shipped out anyway despite my instructions NOT to ship it out to me!...

  32. I spoke to GXXXX from the TV Shop(phone extension#: 7XXX) on Sunday the 5th. of January 2014, pleading with her to please STOP the order being shipped out & she said that despite the order still being in their Melbourne warehouse & not shipped yet, it was too late to stop it being sent out since it was already packed & sitting in the warehouse alongside other orders,ready to be shipped, but that I should just refuse to accept & refuse to sign for the order when the postman attempts to deliver it to me & tell him that I want it to be returned straight back to sender(TV Shop - 461 plummer st., Port Melbourne), & GXXXX said that her manager had told her that this would be the quickest & easiest way for me to get a refund(seeing they were already sold out of the size 14-16 which I required) without me needing to pay return-postage to send back the items, seeing that I wouldn't have accepted the original delivery to send back via this method...

    Despite my wishes & numerous prior phone calls in an attempts to stop the shipment, the order was posted on Monday the 6th. of January via Australia Post's eParcel service under tracking#: XXX2421020011XXX & this can be tracked on the Australia Post website...

    When the postman attempted to deliver the order to me at: 10:58 on Tuesday the 7th. of January 2014, as per TV Shop customer service representative, GXXXX's prior instructions, I told the postman that due to the wrong size being sent to me, I did not want to accept the order nor sign for it & instead request that it be returned straight back to the sender whose name & address was clearly printed on the front of the parcel(TV Shop - 461 plummer st., Port Melbourne), & the postman took the parcel with him to return it back after telling me that there was no problem with that & that he'd see to it that it'd be returned straight back to the sender at no additional cost to me, & the parcel was scanned again twice more under the same tracking#: XXX2421020011XXX on the same day(07/01/2014) at 12:58 & at 13:28 as being "in transit" from me on it's way back to the sender & I also kindly phoned back the TV Shop customer service again that day on 07/01/2014, to let them know that I refused to accept the parcel & have returned the parcel back as instructed & that it was already on it's way back to their Melbourne warehouse, & after waiting another 3 days for it to reach you, I have just noticed that the parcel was scanned again at 17:29 on Friday the 10th. of January 2014, as an attempted delivery back to you & the Australia Post website currently instructs me to make contact direct contact with the sender regarding this attempted delivery on 10/01/2014...

    ReplyDelete
  33. I do not know why the parcel should have not been successfully delivered back to you?, especially seeing that I saw your company's details including your company logo, business name & full-address printed clearly on the front of the parcel before I told the postman to return it back to you & I have not received the goods as instructed! & have done everything I have been instructed to do thus far by TV Shop, even though I had made numerous requests for the order to be cancelled before it was actually shipped! & I would now like my full $178.00 refund be processed back to my MasterCard immediately!, or else I will be contacting my bank to reverse back the credit-card charge if you refuse to refund me back my money promptly! & I will also file a report with the department of fair trading & consumer affairs if necessary?, since I deserve to be refunded for the order I tried to cancel!, before you shipped it against my wishes!, & now have had it immediately returned back to you unopened, via Australia Post, under the same eParcel tracking#: XXX2421020011XXX as per GXXXX's instructions, in order to get a full-refund of my $178.00 to be processed back to my MasterCard & I was told that this would be taken care of as soon as it reached your warehouse, which it did according to Australia post at 5:29 on 10/01/2014, so I have had it returned back to you as requested & I am now formally requesting my $178.00 refund in writing via this email, which I will be forwarding straight to my bank to request a reversal on the credit-card charge to be sent back to my account, should you not issue me with my refund in a timely manner, so I await your prompt response back & I hope that I need not take further action against your company through my bank as well as through the department of fair trading & consumer affairs, who will also be getting a copy of this email, should you fail to offer me my full-refund due to me! for the order I have NOT received from TV Shop! & have requested the parcel to be returned to sender as is evident via the Australia Post tracking# provided & as is shown on the Australia Post website...

    I hope to see my $178.00 refund issued back to my card immediately or to at least get a prompt response back from you about it by: 5 pm. on Monday the 13th. of January 2014, or else action will immediately commence against you as I have explained above, & thank you for your urgent attention! & kind understanding regarding my simple request for my prompt $178.00 refund.

    ~My Sincere Regards~

    2. Don't bother ordering the soup maker. I am now returning one back as it has stopped working properly. The blender part which used to stir/bland soup during boiling, has now stopped from working properly. As a result, the soup - and this is only water and vegetables, no milk, cream etc - burns to the base of the soup maker. It is virtually impossible to use and clean. Learn from my mistake. If this company is serious about selling soup makers, they should improve it by having the blades stir the soup continuously to prevent it from burning. The concept of this soup maker is great. It was good while it lasted, but now, it is impossible to make a soup without burning it.

Oh I forgot to mention that when we said that we would be returning the product a managers special was offered at 50% off, now the product has been lost the best that can offer is 22% (This company is pathetic).

  42. I got the iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaner on the 30 Day Risk Free Trial for $19.90. The money was debited immediately from my Bank Account and I received the product 2 days later. For the asking price of $1200 I was certainly not satisfied with the way this product worked. It would spend about half an hour in the same spot stuck in between my bar stools(that had a flat round base) and would continuously move past dirt and fluff which proves its "dirt detecting technology" is a load a bollocks!!! And you literally have to pick EVERYTHING up off the floor, cords and all otherwise the Roomba will get stuck or jam. Also sometimes it would pick up that much speed that it would jam itself under my coffee table and not be able to make its way out so it would just continue to bang up the table until you turned it off manually. So it really needs to be supervised constantly!!! It would honestly be quicker to do the vacuuming yourself it takes forever to even clean just one small room. If this product cost $100 I would purchase it as it does pick up a bit of stuff but there is NO WAY its worth $1200!!!! So anyway I sent an email to customer service to get a RMA Number so I could return my product I didn't get a reply after waiting 7 days so I decided to call and got told that the person on the phone couldn't help me but they will get someone to call me back. I never received a call back and the days were running out before my 30 days was up. I ended up calling again and pushed to talk to someone right away. I was put on hold for a good 10minutes until I had a lady with a very strong English type accent answer and she actually sounded like she was one of the ladies that advertises their products on the tv! She was so so pushy she tried to offer me extended instalment payments and then offered me the iRobot for $1100 and I continued to say no and she's like ok just let me put you on hold while I get you the RMA Number she came back and told me that she had just pulled the bosses arm and he's willing to give me a special offer and sell me the iRobot for $800 and also still give me the extended instalment payments. I said no again and she finally gave me the number.

    I cleaned the iRobot and parts and packed it away for sending and also used a Tracking Number, I sent it off...... 3 weeks later I receive 2 rude calls stating that I hadn't returned the product. I checked the tracking number and it said it was 'initiated' I called up Australia Post and asked them what this meant and they said that because Brand Developers Australia is such a large company and they are always receiving a lot of parcels they get put onto a manifest and then the whole lot of parcels gets signed together, they are not scanned individually as there are just too many. I called TV SHOP back and told them this and they accused Australia Post of lying and went on to tell me that THEY DO sign for every parcel individually. OK so I called Australia Post back and they said they know who Brand Developers are and they always get their parcels signed for in one big lot because there are so many and they also said that as it says "initiated" on the tracking number then that is enough proof that they have received it and they should leave me alone.....

    3 days later I look in my account and they have credited me $19.90 not sure what that is for but yeah obviously they gave up trying to say that I hadn't sent my parcel and just gave me my Risk Free Trial money back maybe?

    Anyway big lesson learnt here, these people are extremely untrustworthy and what were to happen if I lost my tracking number?? Never again will I purchase from this company and I will make sure to warn everyone I know about this bad experience. I was lucky but im sure there's a lot of people who lose their tracking numbers and get done over. So spread the word!!!

The mop didn't work from the 1st day and the vacuum barely worked either. I asked for a refund and i wanted to return the goods. I have called them back 7 times trying to get onto a manager. I'm about to blast the next person that gets on the phone. They have also been taking out money for the past 6 months to which i didn't realise until today. I will be getting a full refund along with returning the goods back to them. Will keep you updated

  46. I bought a Pearl Hair remover back in Jan and it was not working.Therefore I send this back within the trial period.They rang me back in May claiming that they have not received it to their warehouse.Unfortunate enough I send this through normal post and without a tracking number they said they cannot check.I had no much help from post either.

    However TV shop People have been taking money from my bank account for the past 5 months which I noticed today and I was in shock so rang 1800 222 684 but the consultant was very rude to me and hang up on me.I am so furious.any suggestions?
